Bozeman Attorney John Amsden Featured in MSU President’s Bus Tour Coverage
Montana State University recently wrapped up its 13th annual President’s Bus Tour, a three-day trip through southeast Montana where MSU leaders met with rural communities to better understand how the university can serve Montanans living far from campus.
Among those featured in MSU’s coverage was our own John Amsden, a Broadus-area native and MSU alumnus who has long been committed to giving back to eastern Montana. John is a co-founder of the Kingsley History Project, a community initiative honoring the lives of the region’s Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. The project recently commissioned a stunning ledger art-style mural by Cheyenne artist Miah Chalfant Real Bird, now on display at the main crossroads in Broadus.
When asked about the challenges facing eastern Montana communities, John put it simply: “We all went away and came back and are doing what we can to develop the things about eastern Montana that we love.”
